Action Plan of General Employers based on “Law for Measures to Support the Development of the Next Generation”

We have established the following action plans. These plans are for creating an environment which all our employees are able to balance work and child-rearing.

Second term action plan

(1)Plan period: From March 1, 2010 to February 28, 2015
(2)Contents of plan

[Target 1]

To distribute information to ensure the health of pregnant women and promote familiarization with the system

[Initiative]

We will collect information about maternity health management, summarize it and distribute the summary to applicable people.

[Target 2]

To inform our employees of various systems such as the child care leave system, leave before and after childbirth, and basic allowance for child care leave benefits etc., under the Child Care/Nursing Care Leave Act, Labor Standards Act and Employment Insurance Act.

[Initiative]

We will prepare a summary of labor conditions and benefits related to child care leave at each office and make it available to read at any time. We will clearly indicate specific benefit for an individual.

Third term action plan

(1)Plan period: From March 1, 2015 to February 28, 2019
(2)Contents of plan

[Target 1]

We will secure alternative personal to the employees taking child care leave and review work contents and our work system with them.

[Initiative]

From March 2015: Derive job descriptions from employee questionnaires and surveys
From October 2015 to September 2016: Consideration and introduction of specific measures

[Target 2]

We will work within a system of flexible start/first times

[Initiative]

From October 2016: Investigation, by questionnaire, into the employee’s actual hours.
From April 2017: System introduction
