Purse seine net fishing is a dynamic fishing method to cast the net at full speed to surround the targeted fish school and haul up the net quickly to catch them.
Therefore, a significant load is given to the net and each part supporting it. Using our long experience and the latest simulation technology, we are endeavoring to enrich our service to allow our nets to be used for a long time at ease by offering not only safe fishing gears of excellent cost performance but a speedy repair and maintenance support system.
Trawl nets are largely classified into following types.
- Danish seine type: This is a bottom seine drag net method to catch bottom fish and shell fish which is to cast buoys, to throw out in order of the rope, the net and the other rope in square and tow the net hauling up the buoys and narrowing the distance of the ropes.
This is an environment-friendly fishing method which causes relatively little damage to the sea bottom and enables scooping fish even in narrower fishing grounds.
*Having the 40 years experience in designing and selling fishing gears to the offshore Danish seiners in areas from Hokkaido to western Japan region, we are supplying the most suitable fishing gears to the existing condition. - Otter trawl: This is a fishing method to use otter boards which stretch the net horizontally by water current when it is towed. Pelagic trawl, mid-water trawl and bottoms trawl are available by adjusting the length of the warp wires.
*This fishing method is used by various sizes of trawlers of less than 5 tons to several thousand tons. The net is designed incorporating warps, other boards, ground ropes, trawl net and cod ends collectively. This is also based on our decades of experience in supplying fishing gears to the trawlers of less than 5 tons to 5,000 tons. - Pair trawl: This is a fishing method to tow a net by two vessels parting left and right keeping a certain distance between them.
- Beam trawl: Beam trawl net have beams which widen the net mouth forcibly.
- Patch-ami: Patch-ami is a fishing method to catch anchovy (Iriko), Chirimen and Japanese sand lance towing a large bag net in mid-water sea with a team of three vessels of two net boats and one transport vessel which plays the role of fish finding and transport. As the net boats run at full speed, strong nettings namely “minnow netting" is required and, therefore, we are making further recommendations developing nets which use super-fibers.
Presently, various fish species are farmed such as tuna and red seabream mainly in coastal waters in the western Japan region. Nitto Seimo designs and sells nets and materials that satisfy users introducing our long experience and the latest technologies.
We offer support for the total management of fish farming not only by supplying materials but verifying and introducing fishing grounds based on fishing ground researches, installation work of farming facilities and marketing farmed fish. Recently, we are working on the engineering development of sink-float type farming facilities eyeing offshore farming.
Our laver cultivation net is the only one which is made from knotless netting. Knotless netting having following widely recognized advantageous features is used by laver producers throughout the country.
･Our laver net which is produced by integrating the body net and the selvage net has less chances to be damaged as it does not get stuck with the picking machine when it picks laver.
･As the net has no knot, it ensures smooth picking and less chances of mixing “yarn wastes" into the product which is mainly caused by the friction or the hangnail at knots.
･Lighter weight of the net ensures an easy handling.
